They rob the armory of the Local Police of Lantejuela (Seville): they steal five weapons and ammunition
Tuesday night will not be easily forgotten in the Seville town of Lantejuela. The agents of the Local Police found that the armory had disappeared, after some thieves took advantage of the night darkness to steal it with all the weapons and ammunition inside.
Around five in the morning, two thieves arrived at the main door of the Town Hall, inside which is the armory of the Local Police. They tore it off and took it away when inside there were two Walther P99 pistols and three Ceska, Brno 75 model, and ammunition.
The mayor of the town, Juan Lora, has specified that the criminals “opened some offices, moved some papers, without any sense, until they reached the local police safe, the gun rack, which they tore off and took it away.”. A third person was waiting for the thieves in the street to start their escape immediately.
In this way, the three agents of the Local Police who work in the municipality do not currently have weapons to carry.. The mayor has already started the petition to provide the agents with new pistols and ammunition.
In addition, after gathering the pertinent evidence, an order has been given to repair the damaged doors.
The Civil Guard investigates the robbery suffered, taking advantage of the security cameras of the Consistory. The images are already in the hands of the Judicial Police. Both the description of the weapons and their serial numbers have been distributed to try to locate them as soon as possible.
In a statement, the City Council has asked for “tranquility from the neighbors and to allow the police authorities who are already investigating the facts to act”, noting that this Wednesday the Local Security Board was already convened due to the proximity of the local pilgrimage, and will address this and other issues.
“Any citizen collaboration is welcome to find the perpetrators of the robbery as soon as possible,” said the consistory, which has asked the residents that any information they can provide be delivered to the Civil Guard.
