CIS | Tezanos gives victory to the PSOE in the Canary Islands and the PP would take second place from CC
The PSOE would win the elections in the Canary Islands with 33% of the votes while the PP would snatch second place from CC upon reaching 20%, according to the survey published this Thursday by the Center for Sociological Research (CIS)..
The study does not make a projection of the seats because the sample is small and also because of the specificities of the Canarian electoral system, with insular and regional constituencies.
Thus, Coalición Canaria is positioned as the third political force with 15.7% of the votes, while United Sí Podemos reaches 9.8%, Nueva Canarias-Bloque Canarista 5.9% and VOX 5.8%, in such a way that the formation led by Santiago Abascal would enter Parliament.
They would be left out of the Drago Verdes Canarias regional chamber, led by the former secretary of Podemos Organization, Alberto Rodríguez, with 3%, Ciudadanos (CS), which would remain at 1.2% and Pacma, with 0.9 %.
The survey, collected by Europa Press, has been designed through the preparation of a total of 818 interviews on the islands between April 10 and the 26th, with a margin of error close to 5%..
The CIS also delves into the analysis of all the candidates for the elections and the best valued is the current president and candidate of the PSOE, Ángel Víctor Torres, with 5.84 points.
Torres is followed by Manuel Domínguez (PP), with a score of 4.79; Román Rodríguez (NC-BC), who has a 4.75; Fernando Clavijo (CC), with a 4.69; Noemí Santana, from United Yes We Can, with a 4.50; Alberto Rodríguez, from Drago Verde Canarias, who reaches 4.39, Casimiro Curbelo (ASG), with 4.3, Isabel Bello, candidate for Ciudadanos (4.07) and Nicasio Galván, from VOX, who closes the list with 3.47 points.
