Morocco repels an attempt to jump 200 immigrants over the Ceuta fence
Moroccan forces deployed in the forests near the fences that separate Morocco and Spain in Ceuta have repelled an attempted jump by around 200 migrants. On the ground, the auxiliary forces and the Moroccan Royal Gendarmerie have controlled the advance of this large group that was trying to get closer to the fence, where the Civil Guard had already been deployed to contain any attempt to enter Spanish territory.. The deployed operation has had several agents of the GRS supported by drones and a helicopter, which has flown over the area where the separation fence between the two countries is installed.
So far it has not been reported that any of the migrants who have tried to cross have managed to reach the autonomous city. However, a migrant of Sudanese origin who was not part of the group has managed to enter from another location from where the attempt to jump over the fence occurred.
In addition, as confirmed to this outlet by official sources, the National Police by protocol closed the vehicle lane for approximately one hour and activated all its units, as well as the Civil Guard, which also made available air resources, boats and drones, such as preventive measure. The Spanish State Security Forces and Corps have not had to act because Morocco has managed to contain the entry of migrants.
