Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo announces that she has undergone surgery for breast cancer

The deputy of the PP for Barcelona Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo has reported this Saturday that this Friday she underwent a lumpectomy at the Fundación Jiménez Díaz Hospital in Madrid, after detecting signs of cancer in her breast.

In a post on her Twitter profile, Álvarez de Toledo explained that two months ago, in a routine mammogram, signs of cancer were detected in her breast and that on the afternoon of this Friday, May 12, she underwent surgery..

The former spokesperson for the PP in Congress has thanked the “excellent teams” of the hospital, “especially doctors Ruiz Jiménez, Osorio, Benítez and Pérez de la Fuente”.

Lastly, he reminded “all women of risk age” that “early diagnosis saves lives”.
