CSIF wins the union elections in the Madrid City Council
The Independent and Officials Union Center (CSIF), the most representative union in public administrations, has won the union elections, held yesterday at the Madrid City Council and its Autonomous Bodies, with a historic result.
It has achieved the best results ever achieved in an electoral process in the Madrid City Council, going from 31 delegates to 49. With these numbers, CSIF becomes the first union force in the Madrid consistory.
In four years they have gone from being third parties to leading the representation of the workers of the Madrid City Council, surpassing the CCOO and UGT for the first time.
In the Employment Agency, in the labor personnel elections, they have also been the union with the most votes, which also means that they are the number one union force, with six delegates. On the other hand, at the Madrid Tax Agency, where they appeared for the first time, the support of the workforce has served to gain three delegates.
CSIF, with these results, reaches the minimum 10% of the representation of municipal workers, both labor and civil servants: this means representing the City Council employees for the next four years in all the Tables as well as in the General Negotiation Table of the Public Employees of the Madrid City Council and its Autonomous Bodies.
“From the union we want to thank all the workers for the trust placed in CSIF so that we continue defending their interests in the next four years.” states the union in a statement.
The objectives of CSIF focus on negotiating the Professional Career, including the health one, for all municipal staff, the development of teleworking, and an improvement in social assistance with criteria more in line with the current situation, among other things..
