They locate the lifeless body of the missing bather in the Ullibarri-Gamboa reservoir (Álava)

The body of the man who disappeared this past Thursday in the Ullibarri-Gamboa reservoir has appeared lifeless in the waters of the reservoir after being located by divers from the Surveillance and Rescue Unit (UVR) of the Ertzaintza.

As the Security Department recalled, around 8:20 p.m. this past Thursday, a call made to SOS Deiak 112 requested the presence of the Euskadi Emergency Services in the Ullibarri-Gamboa reservoir, since two bathers were with difficulties getting out of the water.

Firefighters, Osakidetza resources, as well as an Ertzaintza helicopter, citizen protection patrols and divers from the Surveillance and Rescue Unit were mobilized to the place..

The troops helped one of the bathers to get out of the water, later transferred to the Txagorritxu hospital. The body of the second bather has been recovered by divers at 11:45 a.m. this Friday.

After having drowned yesterday, Thursday, in the Ullibarri-Gamboa reservoir, in the Garaio beach area, and will be transferred to the Forensic Pathology Service of Vitoria-Gasteiz to perform an autopsy.
