Simone Biles wins the US Classic on her return to gymnastics

Gymnastics superstar Simone Biles, a four-time Olympic champion, returned to competition this Saturday by winning the US Classic trophy, her first competition since the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Biles, 26, bested a collection of top rivals with a terrific performance, scoring a total of 59,100 points in the uneven bars, balance beam, floor exercise and vault events.

The American, who took her long hiatus to take care of her mental health after the problems suffered in Tokyo, wore a smile from beginning to end of the event at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, on the outskirts of Chicago (Illinois), where it was held for the 11,000 fans who filled the stands
