A nonagenarian arrested in Valle Guerra (Tenerife) for the violent death of his partner

The National Police have arrested a 92-year-old man in Valle Guerra, Tenerife, for the violent death of his 91-year-old partner.

According to police sources consulted, the victim showed signs of a violent death. The case is being investigated as an alleged sexist crime.

If this case and the one that occurred this morning in Pozoblanco (Córdoba) are confirmed, 35 women would be the fatalities of gender violence so far this year, 1,219 since 2003.
