“We are devastated to announce that the bodies of Noya and her grandmother Carmela were found yesterday. Our hearts are broken,” the Israeli Foreign Ministry said on its official X account, formerly Twitter, without giving details about where the bodies were found and under what circumstances.

Last Sunday, the ministry said the girl, a Harry Potter fan, had been “kidnapped from her home by Hamas terrorists and taken to Gaza.” Then, the writer J.K..
