The Church of Scientology is raising funds to pay Donald Trump's 330 million tax fraud fine
After being ordered to pay €330 million for tax fraud, former US President Donald Trump is receiving financial support from an unexpected source. Elena Cardone, wife of an American investor with ties to the Church of Scientology, has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help Trump with his legal fees. Describing herself as an advocate for justice and defender of American values, Cardone believes that the judicial process has been unfair and a violation of the principles of fairness and due process.
The judge’s ruling not only requires Trump and his companies to pay the fine but also bans them from conducting business in New York for several years. In response to these legal battles, Cardone expressed strong support for Trump and urged all business owners and entrepreneurs to unite in his defense. The campaign has already raised over 250,000 euros, with one donor emphasizing that Trump is a victim of left-wing socialists trying to undermine America.
Furthermore, another donor voiced concern about the current political climate, comparing it to the aftermath of 9/11. They believe that the corrupt justice system is eroding civil liberties and hope for a return to a better state of affairs. Despite the controversy surrounding the campaign, Cardone and her husband remain major donors to the Church of Scientology and close associates of its leader, David Miscavige.
