Girona did not fail against Rayo. It was difficult for them to close the match, but, in the end, they ended up winning 3-0 with a goal from Tsygankov and a double from Savinho. All in the second half of a duel marked by an intense downpour on Montilivi and against a rival that ended with 10 due to the expulsion of Chavarría.
