Mauricio Pochettino, new Chelsea manager

Mauricio Pochettino is the new Chelsea manager. This has been confirmed by the English club through a statement published on their social networks. The Argentine signs a contract until 2025, with an option for one more season. With this incorporation, the team intends to start a new project after the failure of this campaign, in which the team has been left out of the European positions and through which four coaches have passed: Thomas Tuchel, Graham Potter, Bruno Saltor and Frank Lampard.

In the letter, Chelsea have welcomed the new coach and have ensured that what has made them notice him is “experience, standards of excellence, leadership qualities and character”. He has also stated that the Argentine is “a winning coach, who has worked at the highest levels, in multiple leagues and languages.. His spirit, tactical approach and commitment to development made him the exceptional candidate.”

Experience as a technician

At 51, Pochettino has already been in charge of several clubs in different leagues. In the Premier he has coached Southampton and Tottenham; in LaLiga Santander he has led Espanyol; and in Ligue 1 he has occupied the bench of Paris Sanit-Germain.
