A new setback for Spanish tennis. After Rafa Nadal's resignation to play his fetish competition, Roland Garros, Paula Badosa has announced that she will not be able to play the quintessential clay tournament.
The tennis player has also reported that she probably will not be able to play Wimbledon either as a result of a new injury, as reported by Badosa herself on social networks.
“When everything seemed to be fine again, bad news again just before starting a Grand Slam. I suffered a stress fracture in my spine at the tournament in Rome.. It has been very hard news after such a difficult start to the year with injuries,” wrote Badosa.

“This is going to take me a few weeks out of the competition. Thanks to all of you who are always with me. I will inform you,” he added.
After a start to the season marked by injuries, Badosa was recovering a good level of play, as witnessed by her appearances in Madrid and Rome, which allowed her to climb to 29th place in the WTA world rankings.
Badosa had already missed the Australian Open due to a thigh injury, which occurred at the Adelaide tournament.
