Real Madrid will start the League in Bilbao and Barça against Getafe; the classics will be played in October and April
The first division of Spanish soccer already has assigned, as of this Thursday, all the dates for the next league season, after the completion of the draw for the calendar, which was held in the Luis Aragonés hall of the Ciudad del Fútbol de las Rozas. Out of 100,000 possibilities, chance made the chosen calendar 44,111. Iván Helguera, Paulo Futre, Miguel Torres, Pedja Mijatovic and César Soto Grado were in charge of extracting the numbers. The competition will begin on August 11, in the middle of summer and, one day before last season. Two classics and several derbies will be played, although this year the traditional Espanyol-Barça will not be held, after the former were relegated to the second division.
Barça, who defends the title, will start the League in Getafe, and will not play in Montjuic until the next day. For its part, Real Madrid will travel to Bilbao to begin the competition. Atlético de Madrid will start next season at home, hosting Granada.

CLASSICS AND DERBIES
As for when the classics will be played, the draw has led to them being held in a month that is repeated year after year: October. On October 29, Barça will play the first match at home. On April 21, the Santiago Bernabéu will witness the return between the two great teams of Spanish football.
Other matches that arouse special interest are the derbies. Real Madrid will face Atlético on September 24 at the Metropolitano, while the rojiblancos will visit Chamartín on February 4. In the Seville capital, the Sánchez Pizjuán will host Sevilla-Betis on November 12, leaving the return at Villamarín on April 28. At the other end of the country, Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao will face each other in San Sebastián on October 1 and in San Mamés on January 13.
If the competition maintains its intrigue both at the top and at the bottom of the table, the teams will play everything in the last weekend of competition, which will end on May 26. Real Madrid will receive Betis, Barça will visit Seville and Atlético de Madrid will travel to San Sebastián. Although surely during the 380 games that are played in total there will be some surprise, like the one that Osasuna gave this season, reaching the European positions. Everything is possible.

During the league season there will be four stops for FIFA dates:

- From Monday 18 to Tuesday 26 March 2024
In addition, there will be another break corresponding to the Christmas festivities that will run from Friday, December 22 to Monday, January 1, both included.
