Spain will start the Nations League against Denmark, Switzerland and Serbia
Spain has been fortunate in the draw for the Nations League, avoiding strong rivals such as Portugal, France, and Germany. They will start their title defense against Denmark, Switzerland, and Serbia. On the other hand, Croatia, the current runners-up, will face tough competition in Group 1, with Portugal, Poland, and Scotland.
The tournament will take place between September 5 and 7, with the final matches scheduled for November 17 and 19. This season, the top two group winners will have a chance to play in a quarterfinal eliminator, followed by a Final Four.
“Challenging Path Ahead”
Despite the favorable draw, coach Luis de la Fuente remains cautious and believes that it won’t be easy for Spain. He emphasized that the team will need to perform at their best if they want to achieve something significant in the tournament.
When asked about potential additions to the squad, de la Fuente made it clear that player selections are based on merit and not as gifts or concessions.
