Bizum confirms new changes to its payment limits

The Bizum application, which allows commission-free money transfers via mobile phone, is increasingly present in our daily lives. It is used for so many things that some entities and the program itself have varied its limits.

Thus, as reported by the Noticias Trabajo portal, BBVA and ING have increased the limit for each operation from 500 to 1,000 euros, something that entities such as Santander, Sabadell or Unicaja had already done.

For its part, the Bizum application itself has also modified the payment limits for every 24 hours and for every 30 or 31 days. In both cases, the limits have been extended.

The maximum amount of money that can be sent in one day through the same Bizum account becomes 2,000 euros, and no bank will be able to increase that figure. Regarding the monthly limit, the new limit is 5,000 euros.

The number of operations per month also has new limits. Thus, from now on the limit will be 60, but to receive money, not to send. Once this limit is reached, the platform will notify the user that the operation cannot be carried out.

More than 30 banks in Spain accept operations with this payment method and, on the other hand, Bizum has added 20,875,000 users and 1,160,000 operations since its arrival.
