El Corte Inglés and Mutua Madrileña launch a range of health insurance
Seguros El Corte Inglés, a company in which Mutua Madrileña controls 50.01% and El Corte Inglés the remaining 49.99%, has launched a range of health insurance that is marketed under the Adeslas brand, according to information collected in his web page.
This range is made up of three products, 'Óptima Flex', Óptima' and 'Óptima Plus', whose price range goes from 35 to 55 euros, depending on the degree of copayment contracted.
These insurances include various elements: coverage of primary medicine, pediatrics, emergencies, diagnostic tests, ambulance service, direct access to surgical medical specialties, among others.
They are only available to El Corte Inglés customers and the company plans to expand the range of products throughout this year, depending on the demand they have, according to the newspaper Expansión, which announced the news on Monday.
Almost a year ago the operation was completed by which Mutua Madrileña came to control 50.01% of the capital of Seguros de El Corte Inglés for 550 million, an amount that rose to 1,105 million euros when including the purchase of 8 % of the capital of the head of the distribution group for 555 million euros.
In this way, Seguros El Corte Inglés became part of the Mutua Madrileña Group, which also controls SegurCaixa Adeslas with 50%, and where CaixaBank owns the remaining 49.92% through VidaCaixa.
In 2022, Seguros El Corte Inglés earned 22.6 million euros, 9.78% less than in the same period of 2021, according to the audit report, annual account and management report published on its website.. However, its turnover increased by 11.6%, up to 106.7 million euros.
