How to get early retirement at age 63 and how much pension will I have left?

ECONOMY / By Luis Moreno

The new pension reform approved by the Government has changed some of the points related to early retirement at age 63, an option that is allowed, but only to a minority that meets the established requirements.

In the year 2021, the legal minimum age to retire in our country is 64 years and six months of age, so the new regulation extends the early retirement age to 63 years, from the year 2022.

Early retirement is in which the worker or worker freely decides to end their working life before reaching the ordinary legal age.. Now, this option is available at age 63, as long as the requirements are met.

Requirements to retire at age 63

In the first place, with the entry of the year 2022, people who reach the age of 65 will be able to retire ordinarily, as long as they have contributed for a minimum of 37 years and six months.. Then, you have to calculate what percentage is the one that corresponds to you. For example, with 15 years it is 50% and, from there, for each of the following 106 months an additional 0.21% is obtained and for each of the subsequent 146 months an additional 0.19%, such and as reported by El Economista.

This means that 100% of the regulatory base is obtained at 36, and this is what happens to workers who want to retire early at 63, since they need an even higher contribution to achieve it.
