Today's light price per hour: these are the most expensive and cheapest for Friday, May 12
The price of electricity will experience a drop this Friday, May 12, to an average of 74.14 euros megawatt hour (MWh), which represents a decrease of 9.28% compared to yesterday, according to the data of the Iberian Energy Market Operator (OMIE) collected by Europa Press. The average price of electricity so far in May is approximately 85.50 euros/MWh, which is well below the 187.13 euros/MWh registered in the same period last year.
In the electricity pool, the minimum price will be 7.62 euros/MWh, while the maximum will be 115.47 euros/MWh. Consumers will also have to pay compensation to gas operators, which will be provisionally set at 0 euros/MWh again. This compensation is paid by consumers who are beneficiaries of the measure, those who are in the regulated market or those who, despite being in the free market, have an indexed rate.
When will it be more expensive to put the appliances
By time slots, the cheapest price will be given between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on this Friday, while the maximum price to start up our electrical appliances and household appliances has been given between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. when the price has reached its peak.
According to the data provided by Selectra, the average price throughout the day will be 0.1404 euros/kWh, while the lowest price will be 0.05947 euros/kWh. The highest price, for its part, will be 0.20257 euros/kWh.
