A seven-year-old boy has been rescued and urgently evacuated to a hospital, with a serious prognosis, after falling from the fourth floor into the interior patio of a building in the Castellón town of Benicarló, according to sources from the Provincial Fire Department Consortium and the Ministry of health.

The accident, of which the causes and circumstances in which it occurred are unknown, took place this Wednesday afternoon after 4:00 p.m., when the little boy fell into Pere de Thous street for reasons that are being investigating, although everything indicates that it is an accident. Firefighters and emergency health personnel participated in the rescue of the minor.

The SAMU has taken the child to the Generalitat's medical helicopter, which in turn has evacuated him to the pediatric ICU of the General Hospital of Castellón to be treated urgently for the injuries he had, specifically a head injury and femur fracture.
