A man has been arrested by the Mossos accused of raping his thirteen-year-old daughter while the minor was sleeping at her home, in the Lleida town of Vinyola.

Mossos sources have confirmed to EFE the information advanced by the newspaper 'Segre' about this event, which took place on the night of Saturday to Sunday of last weekend.

The aforementioned sources have explained that the man was arrested on the same Sunday by the Catalan police.

The complaint in the case was filed by the mother and the minor herself, who went to spend the weekend at her father's house, separated from her partner.

The minor, in accordance with the protocol for complaints of sexual assault, underwent a medical examination at the Arnau de Vilanova hospital in Lleida.

Meanwhile, the Mossos inspected the man's house in search of evidence of the rape.

The man is free with charges after going to court in Balaguer (Lleida).
