The fire could be caused by human carelessness
The Minister of Sustainable Development, José Luis Escudero, has assured that “everything indicates” that the forest fire was caused by “human carelessness”.. This has been pointed out to questions from the media. “I do not want to venture but everything indicates that in the urban area itself it has originated from human carelessness”, he commented, for which he has taken the opportunity to reiterate the request of the citizens to “extreme caution”, because ” any carelessness can cause us a fire”.
Despite this, he has been “optimistic” with the evolution of the fire that has calcined 226 hectares, pointing out that the work carried out since Tuesday afternoon and that has continued during the night suggests that it will be stabilized “in the next few hours “.
