A gang linked to Dominican Don't Play dedicated to arms trafficking and 'overturns' pretending to be police falls

Agents of the National Police have dismantled a criminal group in Madrid allegedly dedicated to arms trafficking and linked to the activity of organized and violent youth groups belonging to the Dominican Don't Play (DDP), reported this Tuesday in a note press the General Directorate of Police.

The operation is part of the increase in activity, both preventive and investigative, carried out by the National Police in order to detect and cut off illegal channels for the illegal distribution of firearms, as well as to intercept possible weapons deposits already existing in the context of the criminal operation of the aforementioned organized and violent youth groups.

The investigation began when the agents of the General Information Police Station and the Provincial Information Brigade of Madrid became aware of the illegal activity of a criminal group dedicated to the storage and trafficking of arms, and linked to the DDP..

After the pertinent investigation, directed by the Investigating Court number 32 of Madrid, last Tuesday the exploitation of the operation was carried out through the entry and search of four buildings in the Valdebebas neighborhood of the capital: two houses, a storage room and a local.

Two people from the 'choir' of Campamento and Alcobendas were arrested for their alleged participation in the crimes of illegal possession and trafficking of prohibited firearms and illegal possession of ammunition; drug trafficking; money laundering and belonging to a criminal group.

In addition, a woman has been investigated for collaboration with the crimes of drug trafficking, money laundering and belonging to a criminal group.

In the searches carried out, the agents intervened two pistol-type short weapons -one of them with the reference numbers erased-, an assault rifle-type long weapon and a shotgun-type long weapon, with the barrels cut out. Some were simulated and the rest operational and all of them were sold to members of the band.

The detainees are veteran gang members who belong to these factions of the Dominicans in Campamento and Alcobendas, responsible for the crime of Sailen, shot to death in October at the exit of a nightclub in Fuenlabrada. And that of William, a 15-year-old boy related to the rival gang of the Trinitarios who was shot in a park in Villaverde last December..
