A girl allegedly kidnapped by her mother in Murcia is located in Malaga

The National Police has arrested a 40-year-old woman in the province of Malaga for her alleged responsibility in a crime of child abduction that occurred approximately half a year ago in the Murcian town of Lorca. The investigated spent this Friday morning at the disposal of the Investigating Court Number 14 of Malaga, which was on duty, and which decreed her provisional release.

The arrest occurred after last June 5, the Investigating Court Number 5 of Lorca issued a search, arrest and appearance order on the investigated for alleged child abduction. The judicial authority also requested the location of the girl and her reinstatement with the father.

The facts were initially denounced by the parent of the minor, just over a year old, who on December 27 filed a complaint in the Lorca Guard Court against his ex-partner and mother of his daughter.. The complainant then reported that the woman had left with the little girl and that she did not know the whereabouts of both.

This Thursday, agents attached to the Family and Women's Care Unit (UFAM) of the Marbella Police Station, who had been requested to collaborate by their counterparts at the Lorca Police Station, located and arrested the suspect in Malaga when she was preparing to go to an appointment in a public body. She was accompanied by another woman and a baby, who turned out to be the minor whose whereabouts were unknown..

The Provincial Police Station has reported that the investigations carried out in recent weeks pointed to the temporary residence of the investigated and her daughter on the Costa del Sol.

The investigators finally arrested the suspect and proceeded to reinstate the minor, who is in good health, together with her father, as established by the competent judicial authority..
