National Police agents have arrested a man who sexually harassed 25 women between the ages of 13 and 22 from 16 provinces through social networks, some of them in Valencia.
Specifically, a total of 25 victims residing in different parts of Spain have been identified: Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia, A Coruña, Tenerife, Las Palmas, Mallorca, Cáceres, Toledo, Pontevedra, Badajoz, Córdoba, Jaén, Burgos and Zamora. Fifteen of them are minors and the rest are between 18 and 22 years old, the National Police has detailed in a statement.
The investigation, called 'Ganímedes', began in December 2020 as a result of a complaint filed by a minor under 14 years of age at the Las Delicias District Police Station in Valladolid.
The first inquiries made it possible to corroborate the reported data and that the alleged perpetrator was aware of the minor's age and, after months of investigation, the individual was identified and located in a town in the province of Seville.
Due to these facts, the person arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the crimes of corruption of minors, production of child pornographic material and threats was brought to justice.
For this reason, agents specialized in cybercrime from Valladolid requested judicial authorization for the extraction of information and analysis of the two seized mobile phones as well as access and analysis of the anonymous profile that he used on the social network to deceive his victims.
The analysis of the agents made it possible to detect that, through chat applications or social networks frequented by adolescents, the arrested person was looking for very young victims, from 13 to 22 years old.

To contact them, he used fictitious information in order to hide his true identity and presented himself as a young businessman, deceiving his victims using a job offer as an event escort as a claim, offering them money (about 5,000 euros per month), plus what he called “whims”, which consisted of high-end mobile phones or fashion accessories.
In this sense, the researchers detected that the number of files that they had to send to the investigated was around 100 photos every three days, which led the minors to a high level of stress if they wanted to reach that figure.
Likewise, several of the victims have needed psychological treatment, causing anxiety and sleep disorders in some of them, leading several of them to self-harm.
It was on April 18, 2023 when the cyberstalker was arrested in collaboration with the Technological Crimes Group of Seville, turning him over to the acting Investigating Court of Carmona, which ordered his release with charges.
