A woman dies after being run over by a Metrovalencia train at the Valencia Sud station

A woman in her 70s died this afternoon when she was run over by a Metrovalencia train at València Sud station.

Sources from Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat (FGV) have reported that the accident occurred around 18.30 hours and that the first investigations point to a suicide.

The woman fell onto the tracks and was run over by a Line 7 train, which runs from Torrent-Avinguda to Marítim-Serrería.

The victim died instantly as a result of the strong impact, the sources said.
