A young man, admitted to the ICU after being gored in the 'bous al carrer' of Calpe (Alicante)

A young man remains with a reserved prognosis in the Intensive Care Unit of the Dénia Hospital (Alicante) after being gored last night by a bull in the chest and knee during the 'bous al carrer' (bulls in the street) of the town Alicante from Calpe.

The injured man, who was cornered against the barrier, was transferred to the aforementioned hospital, where he was operated on, and is currently admitted to the ICU, municipal and health sources have told EFE.

Calpe celebrates its patron saint festivities in honor of the Virgen de las Nieves from July 29 to August 13. Within the framework of these acts, the traditional 'bous al carrer' take place with afternoon and evening sessions, which are the popular bullfighting festivities that are held in the streets of many regions of the Levant.
