Ayuso insists in Bilbao on the illegalization of Bildu despite the contrary directive from Genoa
The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has “repeated” in Bilbao her claim for the illegalization of EH Bildu, the last in a long list of acronyms that the nationalist left has used and that Díaz Ayuso has repeated before the most of 600 members of the Basque PP who have cheered him on at the Euskalduna Palace in the Biscayan capital. Díaz Ayuso has warned that “we do not want to see what happens” with the growing prominence of EH Bildu: “This is going to cost us the prosperity and freedom of all”.
Isabel Díaz Ayuso closes the list of the Basque PP to the Bilbao City Council, but her presence has equaled, at least, the expectation generated by the participation of Alberto Núñez Feijóo in the act held last Monday in Vitoria. With a smaller capacity (700 supporters compared to the more than 1,000 in Vitoria), Díaz Ayuso has used his intervention in support of Esther Martínez -the PP candidate in Bilbao- to insist on his demand that EH Bildu be outlawed, a position which does not share the address of Genoa.
“It is striking that just by mentioning that one can resort to the mechanisms provided for in the Law of Parties, such a rejection occurs in some,” he warned after Feijóo's position against the illegalization of the new abbreviations of the nationalist left.
Ayuso has warned from the Euskalduna Palace: “We have come face to face with the scandal of the lists” of EH Bildu and that blow with reality, as he has said, has unmasked EH Bildu before those who believed that he was dedicated to working in institutions defending their ideas. The presence of the 44 convicted of belonging to ETA -including the seven who have participated in murders- have removed EH Bildu, in the words of Ayuso, the “disguise of wokee ideology” to make evident the continuity of the band's objectives terrorist.
“The secession, the annexation of other regions from the rest of Spain and France, and the imposition of a totalitarian regime, based on silence and fear, which would deprive more than half of the population of their constitutional rights,” he summarized. the president of Madrid in her only electoral act outside the Community that she presides over. EH Bildu would be using his political whitewashing, the Madrid popular leader has stressed, to “sneak town to town” this strategy. Ayuso even goes so far as to reject that the defeat of terrorism can be carried out with the incorporation of the nationalist left into democratic institutions.

A “mistake” because “you cannot be rewarded for murder”, because terror “fear is enough” and because “we must not try to please those who are not going to be satisfied”, Ayuso has defended before his colleagues in Euskadi.
“But even for those who accepted Bildu and believed it a success: does the fact that they systematically include convicted and unrepentant terrorists on their lists really change anything?” Ayuso asked in a message addressed to the leaders of the PSOE critical of the decision adopted by Pedro Sánchez to shield his alliance with Otegi after the controversy of the electoral lists in Euskadi and Navarra.
Just a week after the polls open throughout Spain, Ayuso has made it clear in Euskadi that he will continue to demand the banning of EH Bildu. “The Basque Country, all of Spain and the European Union need their highest powers, the legislature and the judiciary, to rule on this.. If we don't, maybe we'll regret it soon,” he insisted.. In addition, it has established a parallelism between the start of a process to make Bildu illegal with the opposition to applying article 155 in the Catalan process. “It ended up being applied and saved a terrible moment in our history,” stressed the Madrid president.
Ayuso has denounced from the Euskalduna rostrum the approach of ETA prisoners to Basque prisons with a reference to the distance suffered by Miguel Ángel Blanco whose remains were transferred from Ermua to Orense due to the sabotage suffered in the Biscayne cemetery. “Not even dead, the harassment ended for him,” he recalled in one of the most applauded moments by a dedicated audience.
