The leader of Más País, Íñigo Errejón, believes that Alberto Núñez Feijóo's PP is “nervous” about the continuity of the mayor of Madrid and PP candidate for re-election, José Luis Martínez-Almeida. “Having chosen better, the years in opposition are going to be very long for you,” he launched.
“We are going to win Madrid, do not forget the climate that is breathed here”, Errejón expressed, together with the Más Madrid candidates for the Presidency and the Mayor's Office of the capital, Mónica García and Rita Maestre, from a campaign rally in Getafe .
Errejón has assessed that there are “nerves” in the PP. “It feels, Feijóo and Ayuso. To have chosen well, to have chosen better. Your years in opposition will be very long until you take Maestre to the Palacio de Cibeles and make her mayor of the city of Madrid,” he said.
Along these lines, he believes that these two weeks “are going to be infinite” for the PP while they are becoming “very short” for Más Madrid. “Mayors are needed to stop planting cement and plant trees. Mayors who stop opening betting shops and open nursery schools,” he said.
He has pointed it out on the same day that both Más Madrid and the PP coincide, with Ayuso and Feijóo, holding a rally a few meters away in Getafe. Errejón has been ironic with Feijóo's attitude by ensuring that he surely conveys how “proud he is to be in Aranjuez”.
“Mr. Feijóo has enough with his people,” he indicated, while asking him to be “careful” with his stage companions because “they killed Casado (former president of the PP)”. “Now they are going for you,” he assured.
On the other hand, he believes that Ayuso says “contradictory things” because he affirms that he has “no worries” but “he does not take Más Madrid out of his mouth”. “I have the feeling that this is also a good survey, a good indicator,” he assessed.
