Feijóo appeals to the disgruntled Socialists over the agreements with Bildu: "Whoever does not fit in the Sanchista party fits in the PP"

“Whoever does not fit in Sánchez's party fits in the PP”. This has been the idea-force of Alberto Núñez Feijóo in his first rally of the electoral campaign of 28-M. In Toledo, in a small act -before some 300 people-, the president of the PP has focused his speech on the controversy over the presence of 44 convicted for their relationship with ETA on the Bildu lists, and in this sense he has appealed to the Social Democratic voters unhappy with the parliamentary pacts with the Abertzale formation.
The leader of the opposition has insistently asked them to vote, who has also called on the regional and local candidates of the PSOE to raise their voices against those pacts between his party and Bildu. “Are you really going to continue accepting the pact with Bildu? Are the PSOE leaders really not going to say that either they break with Bildu or they leave?”.
“It is unacceptable that they continue to be its partners” after meeting those 44 candidates linked to ETA, Feijóo stressed. “And it is unacceptable that all of Sánchez's candidates keep quiet. Are we really going to do nothing and look the other way? This is not normal, let's report it”, has harangued his.
“Let's not accept this way of doing politics. This deserves all the reproach”, he insisted, implying that the PP will make this controversy one of the axes of the start of the campaign. For the leader of the PP, it cannot be accepted that “the governance of Spain depends on the Bildu lists and also on the ERC”. “Nor that the government's priorities are to lower the penalties for corruption and pardon its pro-independence partners,” among others.
The Prosecutor's Office will have to decide whether to investigate the Bildu lists with 44 convicted of terrorism
At that point, he has appealed again to the moderate wing of the PSOE electorate: “If the people who love the institutions do not fit in Sánchez's party, they fit in the PP. And if those who believe in real politics do not fit in the Sanchista party, they do fit in the PP”. “It doesn't matter what you have voted for before, what matters is the future,” he suggested.
In his act in the Parque de la Vega de Toledo, Feijóo has charged veiledly against the “silence” of Emiliano García-Page before the controversy of the “nonsense” of Bildu. “Everyone is responsible for the effects of sanchismo. All those who vote the same as Sánchez are Sánchez. And these elections are not going to serve to clear anyone's conscience,” he insisted.
It seemed that this was going to be the first time that Feijóo referred to Emiliano García-Page by name and surname in an act in his community, where he has never wanted to confront him directly.. But, once again, he has chosen not to quote it and leave everything in a veiled reference..
His visit to Toledo occurred less than 24 hours after saying that the PP will only govern where the first one remains. “We are not going to govern by losing. We are only going to govern by winning,” he said Thursday in Valencia. This is a harmful message for the PP of Castilla-La Mancha, which is willing to govern if it adds a majority with Vox, even if Paco Núñez is in second place. For this reason, this Friday Feijóo has not repeated that promise in Toledo.
“vote to vote”
Instead, he has praised the regional candidate: “You can tell that Paco Núñez is a politician who has not gotten on the Falcon. He has been a mayor and works like a mayor: inch by inch, vote by vote and person by person. And since he works like this, he is going to be the president of the street, the pedestrian president who is going to work side by side with the citizens.”. “He has the full support of his party,” he added.
To close the act, Núñez has expressed his good relationship with Feijóo, Isabel Díaz Ayuso and Juanma Moreno, whose faces he has put on his campaign bus. “I don't know if Page dares to put Pedro Sánchez, Otegi or Rufián in a photo”, he ironized, to contrast references.
“The change begins today and it is as unstoppable as it is calm and moderate,” Núñez emphasized, in another appeal to the temperate fishing grounds of the PSOE. He has promised them “to get out of the inertia in circles” of Page and a tax cut “like those of Ayuso and Moreno”, precisely.
“I ask you to trust me. To those who voted for the PP and stopped voting and to those who are angry with Sánchez or fed up with Page,” he finished, in line with Feijóo’s message.
