Feijóo puts Bendodo, Gamarra and Tellado at the controls of the campaign to reach La Moncloa on 23-J
50 days before the crucial appointment of 23-J, the Popular Party is already working perfectly oiled, like a machine without failure. The inertia of the campaign of the municipal and regional governments, which culminated last weekend with a powerful victory of the popular ones that dyed the political map of Spain blue, now drives Alberto Núñez Feijóo to complete his triumph and crown it with a victory in the general ones, advanced by Pedro Sánchez as a plebiscite on his continuity at the controls of the Executive.
In this scenario, Feijóo has not hesitated in the design of his campaign team for the national appointment with the polls this summer. His trusted people in Genoa will be in charge of directing the race towards the elections, which will take place in parallel to the negotiations that the PP is obliged to open with Vox if it wants to consecrate right-wing governments in a good part of the territories where it was the most Voted last Sunday.
Thus, the popular leader has entrusted the general coordinator of the party, Elías Bendodo, the management and direction of the campaign; to the general secretary, Cuca Gamarra, the mission of drafting the electoral program, and to the deputy secretary of Territorial Organization, Miguel Tellado, the configuration of the lists in each province.
In addition, Feijóo is not making changes to the campaign spokesperson, which will once again fall on Borja Sémper, recovered last January as the opposition leader's personal bet due to his moderate profile.
The alignment designed by Feijóo is practically identical to the one used in the municipal and regional campaign. From the PP it is assured that the team is “fully involved” already in the preparation of the general elections, originally scheduled for the month of December but brought forward by the President of the Government last Monday as a result of the poor results obtained by the left on 28-M.
