Feijóo replies to Sánchez: "The indecent thing is that you agree and submit the future of Spain to Bildu"

SPAIN

The leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has attacked this Saturday against the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, after his words about the presence of ETA members convicted on the Bildu lists for the municipal and regional ones.

“No man, no, nobody can expect anything from Bildu, what is indecent is that you, Sánchez, agree with them, govern with them and submit the future of Spain to them, that is what is indecent,” Feijóo said at a rally in the Madrid town of Getafe.

This Friday, from Washington, Pedro Sánchez said that “there are things that may be legal but they are not decent”, after being asked by the ETA members on the Bildu lists.

Feijóo, who was in Getafe accompanied by the candidate for re-election as president of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, said that “if the reaction of Sanchismo with Bildu was already reprehensible, now it is simply shameful.”

“The first 48 hours that we learned that Bildu leads more than 40 ETA members and more than 7 convicted of murder were devastating for the history of sanchismo. Sanchismo dictated silence,” said the leader of the popular.

In his opinion, after those 48 hours, “not even Sánchez could bear such ignominy” and “some” began to say that this “was ugly”. And in the end, he continued, seeing the “wave of indignation that this generates”, the chief executive spoke from the United States.

For all these reasons, Feijóo has challenged the PSOE candidates for the elections in two weeks to clearly demonstrate against the presence of ETA members on the Bildu lists.

“This new nonsense is not responded to with silence,” Feijóo said, nor with a “small mouth” or “specific criticism” but rather must be responded with “absolute rejection”, with “complaints” and “decisions”.

For this reason, the PSOE politicians “have to decide and they have two options: either Sánchez breaks with Bildu or his candidates break with Sánchez”, he said, adding that if Sánchez and his candidates “defend the dignity of the nation”, they will make the PP “in all of Spain”.

In addition, Feijóo has said that he is proud that the leader of EH Bildu, Arnaldo Otegi, has affirmed that if it depended on him, the Popular Party would not govern anywhere, since he would be “disgusted otherwise” and has shown his party as the one who will defend the nation, the Constitution and “the dignity of the victims of terrorism” if neither Sánchez nor his candidates do so.

“We are never going to hesitate, between Bildu and freedom, freedom. Between terrorists and the victims, the victims. Between indignation and dignity, dignity,” he said.

Juanma Moreno: “Our blood freezes”

In another electoral act, this time in Cádiz, the president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has asked Sánchez to commit that “he will never agree again in his life with a party that has been on his lists ETA terrorist assassins such as Bildu”.

Moreno recalled that Andalusia has “suffered the blow of terrorism like all Spaniards”, and that “blood freezes” for EH Bildu to include “murderers who have never shown repentance” on their lists.

The Andalusian president has made an appeal to the PSOE voters themselves “in good faith, who believe in the common and shared project that is Spain” and who have always condemned the murders of ETA, when taking the PSOE ballot “They will say: I don't go there.”
