Feijóo revolutionizes the PP lists: includes his dome, signs a former Cs for Barcelona and places Sémper in Madrid
The PP has revealed this Monday to the heads of the provincial list that Feijóo has chosen for the Congress of Deputies, some candidacies in which “renewal” prevails and in which it has included part of its management committee. The popular leader has chosen to leave gaps in the Madrid lists, and has placed his deputy secretaries as number one for their respective provinces. Así, Cuca Gamarra heads the candidacy of Logroño; Elías, Bendodo la de Malaga; Esteban González Pons, from Valencia; Juan Bravo, from Seville; Carmen Navarro for Albacete; Carmen Fúnez for Ciudad Real, Miguel Tellado for A Coruña.
Feijóo has not included the current campaign spokesman, Borja Sémper, in the Basque Country lists, but everything indicates that the leader will swell, along with Feijóo, the Popular Party candidacy for Madrid. The only deputy secretary who has been left out of the first preview of the Genoa lists is the person in charge of regional and local coordination of the PP, Pedro Rollán, although it is taken for granted that he will also have a place on the lists for Madrid.
Placing Cuca Gamarra at the top of the list for La Rioja has a derivative. As published by El Confidencial, Génova doubted between her and another weighty woman —like Fátima Báñez— to be number two for Feijóo. The decision regarding the general secretary leaves the path clear for the former Minister of Employment to fill that gap, although the aforementioned leader could land directly in the Feijóo Council of Ministers without going through lists if he manages to beat Sánchez at the polls. The PP will solve the question of who will sit to the right of Feijóo in Congress this week.
At least in the case of the bet for the numbers one of the popular lists, Feijóo has opted for an almost total revolution and has changed 75% of the names, renewing 39 of the 52 heads of the list. The preparation of the candidacies, in which the popular leader has personally worked hand in hand with his vice-secretary for Organization, Miguel Tellado, has left some surprises, such as the signing of Nacho Martín Blanco, formerly of Cs, as number one on the list by Barcelona. The leader abandoned his seat in Parliament a few days ago to join the ranks of Alberto Núñez Feijóo.
Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo, who currently holds that position, will also occupy a position on the list for Madrid. The PP has begun a gradual approach to the leader in recent months, and Genoa will keep her in Congress due to her ability to attract voters from Vox. In the direction of Genoa they reaffirm that joining Borja Sémper and Cayetana Álvarez de Toledo on the same list sends a “powerful” message to the voter and colors the PP with the sought-after image of transversality, capable of attracting, they say, voters located to his left and to his right.
Two weeks ago he was our spokesman in Parliament
Member of the permanent executive
Trusted man of our secretary
Voted in favor of not presenting the party to the elections
The party no, but he yes

The one of Blanco has not been the only signing coming from the ranks of the liberals. The leader of the PP has incorporated another ex of Cs by Tarragona, in this case Pere Lluís Huget, exportavoz de Cs in the Council of Salou. Sources from Genoa assure that the party first tested the current president of the PP in Catalonia, Alejandro Fernández, as head of the list for this province, but the Catalan leader rejected the proposal to continue leading the party in the region. Fernández's closure to making the leap into national politics complicates the renovation that Genoa plans for the territorial organization, in which they propose a total sanitation and a change of leadership.
Another of the surprises of Feijóo's new lists has been the incorporation of Sergio Sayas, the former UPN deputy that Feijóo rescued along with Carlos García Adanero, to whom he entrusted the party's candidacy to Pamplona. Sayas will attend Congress for Navarra, just the territory in which the break between PP and UPN has been confirmed after the lack of agreement between the leadership of Genoa and the leader of the regionalists, Javier Esparza.
Also relevant is the movement to seize from Alfonso Rueda his vice president of the Xunta, Francisco Conde, a leader of the total confidence of Núñez Feijóo who displaces the former number one for Lugo and member of the leadership of the Parliamentary Group, Jaime de Olano. The former president of Congress, Ana Pastor, repeats as head of the list for Pontevedra, while Ana Vázquez does the same in Ourense and Miguel Tellado, Feijóo's right-hand man in Genoa, will head the list of A Coruña.
In addition to Olano, Feijóo has also laminated the current deputy spokesman for the PP in Congress, Guillermo Mariscal, who gives up his position leading the candidacy of Las Palmas to the economist Jimena Delgado. Nor does Mario Garcés repeat as number one for Zaragoza, since he will now be occupied by another deputy, Pedro Navarro. This has not been the case of other heads of the list from the Pablo Casado era that Feijóo has kept in their respective positions, such as Tomás Cabezón for Soria, José Antonio Bermúdez de Castro for Salamanca, Milagros Marcos for Palencia or Carlos Rojas, who returns to head the ballot for Granada.
Feijóo has also focused on the economic sphere, and has placed several members of Juan Bravo's economic team as heads of the provincial list. This is the case of Luis Alberto Marín, Minister of Economy in the Region of Murcia, who competes as number one in this territory; o José Vicente Marí, current Secretary of Industry, Tourism and Commerce in Genoa, and who passes from the Senate to Congress as head of the Balearic Islands list. Feijóo's bet for Congress also leaves a trickle of incorporations from the Senate to Congress, such as Sofía Acedo, who will be a candidate for Melilla, or Ana Isabel Alós, number one for Huesca, or Maribel Sánchez Torregrosa for Almería.
