The National Police of La Línea de la Concepción maintains an investigation open to clarify the shooting that occurred around 6:15 p.m. this Thursday on Avenida del Burgo in the municipality of Línea. In this incident, two people were injured who received the impact of bullets in the legs. One of them is Francisco 'Isco' Tejón, leader of the Los Castañas drug trafficking clan and Antonio's brother, who is in prison.

The events that led to the shooting began at the Los Barrios fair that is held these days in the Campo Gibraltar town. At around half past four in the morning, according to sources consulted by EL MUNDO, a fight broke out in one of the booths that ended, in principle, with the intervention of security forces and the Police. So far everything seemed like one more incident of the holidays.

However, one of those involved in the brawl was Isco Tejón and the other one of his trusted men. A 34-year-old citizen of Moroccan origin. When they left for La Línea, where they live, they were followed and once they tried to access their home, they were shot at from a vehicle.

Isco was injured in a calf and his companion also suffered leg injuries. They were transferred to a health center, although it is unknown if in the Campo de Gibraltar region or outside of it, and the alleged perpetrator of the events, already identified, is unaccounted for since when the Police became aware of the incident, they went to the address where he resides, but he had already abandoned it.

For the moment, the aforementioned sources have indicated that all lines of investigation remain open and no hypothesis is ruled out.. Some point to a possible event that occurred a few days ago and that would be related to relatives of the alleged perpetrator of the shots.. Others also advocate a fight over issues related to money and drugs.

In any case, the police officers hope that tranquility will be the predominant note in the coming days, although some sectors understand that this may cause some commotion among the drug networks and that some may try to take justice on their own.

Last Monday, in the Algeciras Section of the Provincial Court, the macro-case against the Los Castañas clan, which had been suspended a few weeks ago, was resumed.. In principle there were more than 150 defendants, including Antonio Tejón, of which almost half have already reached agreements in accordance with the Public Ministry.

The circumstance occurs, casual or not, that when the hearing began, several incidents took place in different towns of the Bahía de Algeciras arch. In Los Barrios there was a shooting in which a well-known drug trafficker from Ceuta died, while in Guadiaro, a neighborhood located in San Roque, a man broke into a bar with an axe, injuring several people.
