Metro Madrid line 1 closes this Saturday: stations without trains, dates of works and free transport
This Saturday, June 24, work begins on the section between the Sol and Valdecarros stations on line 1 of the Madrid Metro. The Sol station will act as the start and end of the line until the works are finished, with a date to be determined at the end of October of this year..
A total of 18 stations will be affected, which are: Tirso de Molina, Antón Martín, Estación del Arte, Atocha Renfe, Menéndez Pelayo, Pacífico, Puente de Vallecas, Nueva Numancia, Portazgo, Buenos Aires, Alto del Arenal, Miguel Hernández, Sierra de Guadalupe, Villa de Vallecas, Congosto, La Gavia, Las Suertes and Valdecarros.

The Municipal Transport Company of Madrid (EMT) will be in charge of offering the alternative and free bus line. The SE1 line will cover the routes between the Atocha and Valdecarros stations, with stops in Atocha, Menéndez Pelayo, Pacífico, Puente de Vallecas, Nueva Numancia, Portazgo, Buenos Aires, Alto del Arenal, Miguel Hernández, Sierra de Guadalupe, Villa de Vallecas La Gavia, Las Suertes and Valdecarros. In addition, the service will begin at 6:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 a.m., with a frequency of 2 to 5 minutes, reduced from 1 to 4 minutes for the hours of greatest demand..
