New search for explosives in Pelayos de la Presa, after the wounded man with a grenade from the Civil War

After the Armed Institute's Explosives Disposal Team destroyed, yesterday, the 12 grenades found at the scene of the accident, the Tédax returned this Sunday to the house in Pelayos de la Presa, where a device was detonated on two young people while handling it.

In this new record, as reported by Telemadrid, the explosives technicians of the Civil Guard have proceeded to search for new artifacts kept by these men, who, apparently, are collectors of items from the Civil War.

Thus, yesterday one of them, 31 years old, with a serious prognosis, was injured when one of the explosives that they accumulated from said historical period exploded.. He continues to be admitted to the La Paz hospital and will go to court as soon as he recovers.. Well, after what happened, he has suffered the amputation of his right leg and supports second and third degree burns in 40% of his body, as confirmed by a spokesman for Emergencies 112 Community of Madrid.

While the injured man was taken by helicopter to the hospital, the other young man, a friend of the affected person, was arrested and will go to court this Monday for illegal possession of explosives.

Sources of the Civil Guard transferred to EFE that, after the event, they found those 12 grenades, of which, one of them was the one that exploded during its handling.. All were deactivated, but in this house, located in the San Pelayo urbanization, searches have continued today in case there were more weapons from the Civil War.

The explosion took place in the crossing of San Pelayo, in the municipality of Pelayos de la Presa (with about 3,000 inhabitants), at around 1:45 p.m., at which time 112 received several calls alerting them to the explosion.

Community Firefighters, Civil Guard, several ambulances and a Summa 112 helicopter attended the scene.
