Search warrant for a former Osasuna executive who has not been imprisoned
The Second Section of the Court of Navarra has issued a search warrant for the former director of Osasuna Jesús Peralta Gracia for his immediate entry into prison, having expired at 12 noon this morning the term given on the 18th to enter Volunteer in a prison. As stated in the judicial resolution, the Court “has learned through its procedural representation” that Peralta, firmly sentenced to five years in prison, is in Valencia.
The Court has proceeded to include this search warrant (request) in the corresponding computer system and in the automated files of the security forces and bodies, sources from the Superior Court of Justice of Navarra (TSJN) have reported.. This morning the Second Section of the Hearing had notified its refusal to delay the entry into prison, set as the deadline today, at 12 noon, of the three convicts who had requested a postponement, the former president of Osasuna Miguel Archanco Taberna and the former directors Sancho Bandrés Ardanaz and Jesús Peralta Gracia. Both Archanco and Bandrés have collected their orders to enter prison, but not Peralta, who has not appeared.
Regarding the allegations for the postponement requested by Peralta, the magistrates indicated in that resolution that the medical-care reasons raised “of course are not indicatively sufficient.”. From the medical reports provided, the Court specified, in no way can it be estimated that the prisoner is “suffering from a very serious illness with incurable conditions.”.
Archanco, Peralta, Bandrés and former manager Ángel Vizcay (who has already voluntarily imprisoned), prosecuted in the Osasuna case for rigging, are convicted of the crimes of misappropriation, document forgery and sports corruption. After review of the case by the Supreme Court, the sentences for these convicts were 5 years in prison for Archanco and Peralta, 5 years and 7 months for Vizcay and 4 for Bandrés..
