Teresa Ribera will be number two on the PSOE list for Madrid and Margarita Robles, number four

SPAIN

The third vice president and minister for the Ecological Transition, Teresa Ribera, will be number two on the PSOE electoral list for Madrid, headed by the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, for 23-J. This was confirmed to Servimedia by sources from Ferraz after the Ser channel also advanced that the Defense Minister, Margarita Robles, will return to the candidacy for Madrid as number four.

The Federal Committee of the PSOE will ratify next Saturday the lists of the Congress and the Senate for the general elections after the proposals formulated throughout this week in each territory, with the power to make changes.

The process began with the local socialist groups from all over Spain, which had until Tuesday, June 6, to propose names of candidates, according to the calendar established by Ferraz.

These names are then submitted to the provincial and insular executive commissions, which between this Wednesday and Thursday will make complete and orderly candidacy proposals to be approved on those same dates by the respective committees.

In the Community of Madrid there are no provincial bodies, so the decision depends on the Regional Executive Committee of the PSOE, which meets on Thursday to determine which proposal will be transferred to the Federal Committee of the party.

However, sources from the regional Executive of the PSOE in Madrid acknowledge to Efe that in this case the person leading the preparation of the candidacy from the beginning is the President of the Government and Secretary General of the PSOE, Pedro Sánchez, who will be head of the list for Congress of the Deputies for Madrid.

Go from four to two

In the general elections of November 2019, Ribera was number four to Congress for Madrid and Robles number one for Ávila, while Sánchez's number two was the former vice president of the Government Carmen Calvo, who aspires to repeat on the lists by provinces such as Madrid or Cordoba.

However, in the case of Córdoba, socialist sources have confirmed that number one will be the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, and number two will be the general secretary of the PSOE in that province, Rafaela Crespín.

On the other hand, the Minister of Finance and Public Function and Deputy Secretary General of the PSOE, María Jesús Montero, will be the head of the list of the Socialist candidacy for Congress for Seville, predictably followed by the Vice President of the Lower House, Alfonso Rodríguez Gómez de Celis. .

In addition, the Minister of Science, Diana Morant, will probably head the list to Congress for Valencia, which will include the former Minister of Public Works and former Secretary of Organization of the PSOE, José Luis Ábalos, while the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Héctor Gómez, has offered to lead again the list to the PSOE Congress for the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The former deputy general secretary of the PSOE Adriana Lastra will head the list of the PSOE for Asturias for the Congress, and the still Balearic president, Francina Armengol, will be number one for the Balearic Islands.

For his part, the acting mayor of Valladolid, Óscar Puente, will foreseeably be the head of the PSOE list in this province for Congress, and it is very likely that the still president of La Rioja, Concha Andreu, will be a candidate for the general elections. .
