The Civil Guard collects 18 bales of drugs from the sea in Mallorca

The Civil Guard has collected 18 bales of hashish floating in the sea and also on the beaches on the coasts of the municipalities of Calvià and Andratx, west of Mallorca, weighing 660 kilos.

Throughout the weekend, through warning calls from individuals, the collaboration of the Calvià Local Police and their own sightings by Civil Guard units, the agents have collected those 18 bundles, the armed institute has reported in a release.

They were located on the coast of Andratx, in the waters of the island of Sa Dragonera and Cala Llamp and on the coast of Calvià; in Costa de la Calma, Santa Ponça and Portals Vells.

The Civil Guard investigates the discovery to try to find out the origin of the drug. Because of how clean the bales are, the researchers have told EFE that they believe they had not been in the sea for long..
