The leadership of Ciudadanos is studying sanctioning the former deputy spokesperson in Congress, Edmundo Bal, and the attorney in the Courts of Castilla y León, Francisco Igea, for their demonstrations and criticism launched against the national leaders Patricia Guasp and Adrián Vázquez, whom they accused of take over the party.

Although both have denied having received any notification from the party leadership for the moment, party sources have confirmed to EFE that they have analyzed the words of Bal and Igea as attacks that cross all lines, referring to statements such as that the party is “kidnapped” by some leaders who intend to use their economic resources to carry out their own campaign for the European elections next year.

In a meeting with affiliates and supporters held last Sunday in Madrid, Bal accused Patricia Guasp and Adrián Vázquez of “putting their personal projects before the collective” and of “keeping the party's current account”.

After denouncing that the leadership is “bunkered and entrenched”, the former deputy spokesman for the parliamentary group assured that “there is still time” to change his mind and “not leave the 300,000 voters of the last local and regional elections as “orphans”..

He also showed his rejection of the decision adopted on May 30 by the National Committee of Cs the attorney in Castilla y León, Francisco Igea, who claimed to prevent the party from “going underground”.
