The Electoral Board removes Teresa Rodríguez's party from the TVE debate after requesting it by IU and Podemos

SPAIN

The Provincial Electoral Board of Seville has addressed the arguments offered by IU and Podemos Andalucía for the exclusion of Teresa Rodríguez's party, Adelante Andalucía, from the news coverage plan for the municipal elections of Radio Televisión Española-Andalucía (RTVE).

The argument has been that Adelante Andalucía did not reach a minimum representativeness of 5% in the last Andalusian elections in which it participated. It achieved 168,960 votes, 4.58% of the votes cast, and two seats.

The petition came from the Para la Gente coalition, the electoral brand in Cádiz, Granada and Jaén of Izquierda Unida, Más País, Verdes-Equo and Iniciativa del Pueblo Andaluz, as well as Podemos.

[Teresa Rodríguez will not have access to electoral funds and will be able to go to the debates if no one appeals]

With this pronouncement, an appeal can be made before the Central Electoral Board, which must be presented to the Provincial Electoral Board, within 24 hours of its notification, as indicated by this body in its pronouncement.

Teresa Rodríguez, who already left her act in Parliament, also had problems in the last regional elections to access public financing for the parties in view of those elections in the electoral spaces in the public media.

All this after his expulsion from the coalition and that of eight more deputies in November 2020, considering them defectors. Finally, it was because no party appealed against. The candidate then came to ask that they not veto her presence.
