One of the most popular options to spend the summer months on the coast are vacation rentals. And it is that the beach is the main destination for Spaniards to rest in the summer of July and August. Whether for a fortnight or a whole month, bathers are looking for a rental home.

A Fotocasa study reveals which are the cheapest places to rent with a beach. If you are thinking of spending your holidays near the sea, write down the beaches with the lowest price for housing.

The cheapest areas

Los Bateles Beach, located in Conil de la Frontera (Cádiz) ranks first as the cheapest in Spain for renting a home, with a price of €9.7/m2. The second place is occupied by San Miguel beach, in the municipality of Almería, which reaches a price of €9.95/m2. La Orilla beach, in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, also in Cádiz, is in third position with a rental price of €10.25/m2.

The ranking of the cheapest coastal places is continued by Playa Sur de Peñíscola, in the province of Castellón, with a price of €10.36/m2. In fifth place is Puerta del Mar Beach, in Almuñécar (Málaga), which has a rental price of €10.41/m2.

In general, Cádiz stands out above the rest of the places with four of its beaches within the top 15 for housing. Almería, which comes second, also has two other beaches among the cheapest in the country: El Zapillo and La Térmica.
