The Court of Huesca has ordered the provisional release of the Italian brothers Mario and Piero Pini after spending both twenty days in the Zuera prison (Zaragoza) as alleged perpetrators of the sexual assaults suffered by a woman who worked in one of the meat companies owned by him in the region of La Litera.
In his order, to whose content Efe had access this Wednesday, the Huesca court imposes on each of the brothers, owners of the Litera Meat slaughterhouse in Binéfar (Huesca), bonds of 10,000 euros and agrees restraining orders for the complainant to medium kilometer away during the investigation and prohibition of communication with third parties in order to avoid possible witness tampering.
The three magistrates of the court, who also urge the brothers to communicate possible trips outside the country, consider that these measures are sufficient to guarantee the development of the investigation of the case with guarantees for the victim, represented by the lawyer from Montison Javier Vilarrubí and currently leave to receive psychological assistance.
Despite the opposition of the prosecutor's office and the private prosecution, who warned of the existence of a flight risk due to the seriousness of the facts denounced, the Court of Huesca opted for his release pending the results of the investigation. judicial investigations.
Both brothers were detained by the Civil Guard at the end of last June and brought before the presence of the head of Monzón Investigating Court number 1, who agreed to send both of them to prison as alleged perpetrators of a crime of sexual assault and of another against the rights of workers since the alleged victim was one of their workers.
In her statements before the instructor, the woman described the homes of those investigated in Binéfar and recounted that for years she had tried to assume flawed relationships out of fear or threats that continued until, according to her own testimony, “she could not take it anymore “.
In the arrest warrant, the judge assessed the credibility and coherence of the complainant's account compared to those given by the denounced brothers, who denied the alleged attacks.
Regarding Mario Pini, the woman, represented by the Montison lawyer Javier Vilarrubí and currently undergoing psychological treatment due to the fear generated by the situation she is facing, points out that she constantly threatened to harm him in relation to his work situation and with take away his home, pressure under which non-consensual sexual relations occurred.
As for Piero, the older of the two brothers, the complainant held him responsible for violent and vexatious sexual assaults since his arrival in Binéfar, and points out that at that moment the situation became “unsustainable” given the treatment received from both.
One of the pending tests requested by the plaintiff's lawyer is the analysis of the biological evidence found in the brothers' homes in search of evidence.
