Two young men attack the PP headquarters in Móstoles with pepper spray

Late this Monday afternoon, two young men attacked the headquarters of the Popular Party in Móstoles armed with pepper spray canisters. An attack, as EL MUNDO has learned, which has left several intoxicated by the chemical product, since 42 affiliates had gathered at that time, and which has forced the municipality's health services to intervene to care for those affected, six treated by the SUMMA for mild intoxication.

The Police have proceeded to arrest the two assailants, a man and a 20-year-old woman, who have been identified as “ultra-left”, according to the sources consulted by this newspaper.. At the time of the arrest is when the police officers found the two knives they were carrying and which they did not use. While they were being held on the outskirts of the popular headquarters by the security forces, the detained girl attacked several citizens who were in the area and were recording the scene.

“They have sprayed the party headquarters when we were inside receiving a course on auditors and proxies,” says the PP candidate in Móstoles, Manuel Bautista. This fact has caused the intoxication of some of those present but also anxiety crises that have had to be treated by the toilets displaced to the area.. Tomorrow, at 12 in the morning, the general secretary of the Madrid PP, Alfonso Serrano, will go to the scene to meet with the popular candidate in the town.

“It is something detestable, despicable and we totally condemn it, it cannot be that a party is attacked by two members of the ultra-left, recognized by themselves, and that they laugh in our faces,” says Bautista, who is in the final stretch of the electoral campaign for the elections that will be held this Sunday in the Community of Madrid and in the southern municipality.

The president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has described as “totalitarian practices” what has happened at the headquarters of her party in Móstoles “attacking various affiliates”. “My support and affection to all of them and our condemnation of these totalitarian practices. They will not be able to with our freedom or with our desire,” said the popular leader through her Twitter account.

From the Más Madrid social network account in the municipality they have also shown their “absolute condemnation and rejection” of the attack on the PP building. “It is not the only headquarters that has received attacks during this campaign. The democrats decided to vote this coming Sunday at the polls,” said the left-wing party.
