The Brazilian Police arrested this Saturday in the city of Curitiba an alleged serial killer accused of killing three young homosexuals in southern Brazil, after having contacted them on virtual dating platforms.. The suspect, identified as José Tiago Correia Soroka, 33 years old and who had been wanted by the authorities since the beginning of May, was arrested in a pension in the Capao Raso neighborhood, in the capital of Paraná.
According to the Paraná Police, the suspect was arrested early in the morning after receiving information about his whereabouts the day before.. Correia Soroka is accused of killing three young homosexuals and of trying to murder a fourth victim, who was saved from dying and was the one who reported him to the authorities.
According to authorities, the suspect committed the crimes every week for a month.. The first three murders were registered between April 16 and May 4 in the city of Curitiba and a week later the attempted murder took place in a municipality of Santa Catarina..
