Five killed in shooting in Israel amid rising violence

At least five people have died this Wednesday after a shooting occurred in the village of Basmat Tabun, located in northern Israel, within the framework of the increase in violence within the Arab communities living in the country.

The victims are three men and two women, while another 49-year-old person has been injured.. Crimes within the Israeli Arab community have already claimed the lives of more than 180 people, the WAFA news agency has reported.

At the end of August, the assassination of the general administrator of the municipality of Tira, Abdelrahman Qashou, and Gaz Saab, candidate for the presidency of the local council of the town of Abu Snan, in the Galilee, in the north, put the focus on the violence of Arab communities.

In this sense, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave the order in August to promote an inspection law to speed up investigations, allowing the Police to seize computers and mobile phones.
