After the death of an Italian man in a traffic accident, both his wife and his mistress have received insurance compensation, La Stampa newspaper reports Thursday. The 39-year-old man and his wife, residents of Turin, had a young son together, but the husband was also having an extramarital affair that he did not hide.

In 2020, when he died in a traffic accident, the police were trying to identify him, but his widow was traveling it was his mistress who took care of the body. She immediately asserted her rights by invoking the ties that bound her to the deceased and her plans for the future.

“She was bound to this man by a common life hope. There was a real intensity in their feelings, they lived together,” her lawyer, Me Gino Arnone, justified to the newspaper.

“He spent three days with me, four with the family,” the mistress explains anonymously. La Stampa does not specify the amount of the compensation.
