Jewish protesters gather inside the Capitol complex in defense of Gaza

A group of Jewish protesters gathered this Wednesday inside an office building in the United States Capitol complex, in Washington, in protest of the war between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and in defense of the population of the Gaza Strip.

Dozens of members of the Jewish Voice for Peace organization have gathered at the Cannon Office Building with banners in defense of a ceasefire in the Palestinian enclave, and demanding to “let Gaza live,” according to information collected by the American television network. ABC news.

While some of these attendees have been detained by the Police, many others have gathered at the intersection of Independence Avenue and New Jersey Avenue, a few meters from the Capitol building.

Several bike fence barriers were erected around the Capitol on Tuesday night in anticipation of the protest, but nothing stopped people.

More protesters are gathering around the House side of the Capitol Complex and because of that, roads are being temporarily closed for security.

The protest began on the National Mall and ended up reaching the building, located on Independence Avenue and New Jersey Avenue, next to the Capitol.
