Likewise, Biden indicated that the objective of his trip to Europe is to “strengthen the alliance” and “make it clear to Russia and China that” the US and Europe are together.

Biden took off from the Andrews base, on the outskirts of Washington, in the presidential plane shortly before 09:00 local time (14:00 GMT), accompanied by his wife, the first lady, Jill Biden.

On Wednesday night, the US president's plane is scheduled to land in Cornwall (United Kingdom), where tomorrow, Thursday, he will meet with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, before participating, starting on the 11th, in the G7 summit, which will last three days.

Subsequently, Biden will go to Brussels where he will meet with his European partners and, finally, to Geneva (Switzerland) to hold his first meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on June 16.
