Joe Biden receives Pedro Sánchez at the White House, the first visit by a Spanish ruler in six years

The President of the United States, Joe Biden, receives the head of the Spanish Executive, Pedro Sánchez, at the White House, in what will be the first visit by a Spanish ruler in six years. Follow the direct from 9:00 p.m. in the peninsular zone (3:00 p.m. in Washington DC).

A meeting in which both have talked about support for Ukraine and the next Presidency of the European Union, among other issues.

“We are allies, friends,” Sánchez stressed to Biden before the media that reported the meeting at the White House.

Sánchez also highlighted the “common values” that unite Spain and the United States at the beginning of his meeting with the US president in the Oval Office.

A meeting in which, among other issues, aid to Ukraine and migration agreements will be addressed, as well as the next rotating Presidency of the EU.

This visit by the President of the Government of Spain coincides with the start of the electoral campaign for the municipal and regional elections held on May 28.
